Williams Lake will be facing Kitimat in the finals of Coy Cup on Staturday, after beating Powell River 6 – 4 in the semi-finals on Friday Night.
For the first two periods, Powell River didn’t score a single goal. In the first period, Williams Lake’s Glenn Camille scored with assists from Curtis Gassoff and Brent McIsaac.
In the Second Period, Williams Lake scored twice more. The first one by Jeff Gagnon assisted by Gilbert Robbins and the second time by Francis Johnson with an assist from Wilf Robbins.
Then in the third period Powell River finally began scoring and got all four goals in the last period by Andy Welsh, John Murgatroyd and Joe Caldarone who scored twice. Williams Lake managed three points of their own with two scored by Paul Girodat and the last one by Phil Simoes.
