The Prince Rupert Runners Club held its third annual fun run Sunday

The Rupert Runners Club held its 3rd annual Fun Run this weekend. People were invited down to Rotary Waterfront Park at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, to partake in the run.

Runners embarked on a 5-kilometre journey down Cow Bay Road all the way to the entrance of Rushbrook Trail and back.

The run was meant to encourage togetherness in the community, and those who came out to the run were invited to dress in their festive holiday garb, outfits ranged from standard ugly Christmas sweaters all the way to a full-blown Santa costume.

Some of the participants in this year’s Fun Run donated non-perishable food items, which will be given to the food bank.
