The Terrace River Kings grabbed a victory on home ice last weekend, with a 4-2 win over the Prince Rupert Rampage, Nov. 12.

Josh Murray opened the scoring up for the Kings four minutes into the first period. Murray was assisted by Rajan Sangha and Derrick Jurista.

Terrace’s Garret Kerr found the back of the net next when he scored unassisted eight minutes into the period.

Going into the second with only Terrace on the scoreboard, Cameron Kerr grabbed another goal for the Kings, assisted by Rich Clair and Garrett Kerr.

The Rampage managed to answer back at the 14 minute mark when Jared Anderson scored, assisted by Greg Sheppard.

The third period was empty of scoring until Sangha, assisted by Chris Kirby,  got one in for the River Kings 14 minutes in. The Rampage grabbed its second and final goal from Jared Meers, who was assisted by Jean-Luc Fournier and Sheppard three minutes before the end of the game.

Shots on net were pretty even for the match with Keith Movold fielding 31 shots and making 27 saves for the Rampage.

Darren Boaolian took 29 shots, and made 27 saves for the River Kings.

The Kings will now take a weekend off before heading to Prince Rupert for another matchup with the Rampage Nov. 26.
