Rosendo Masocol drives the net in the Charles Hays Rainmakers' 63-40 loss to the first-ranked Sir Charles Tupper Tigers on Friday afternoon.

The Charles Hays Rainmakers have claimed third-place at the 2015 TELUS BC High School Boys AAA Basketball Championships in Langley this weekend.

With a 77-61 win over R.A. McMath of Richmond, the hometown senior boys finished one place lower than last year's second-place showing in which they lost to the St. Thomas More Knights in the championship game.Friday's game versus the top-seed Sir Charles Tupper Tigers saw the 'Makers come up short and on the wrong end of a 63-40 score that saw the Tigers pull away from the Rainmakers in the second quarter, later staving off the comeback, quashing the Rupert squad's hopes of a provincial championship.

Some solid performances on the weekend came from Justin McChesney, Rosendo Masocol and Perry Terrell.
