Prince Rupert’s figure skating club welcomed their family and friends to the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre Arena on March 10 for their end-of-season show.

Sheri Pringle, head coach of the Prince Rupert Figure Skating Club, said approximately 75 skaters performed in the show.

Titled “Lost In Space” the show highlighted routines the club’s skaters have competed with throughout the 2017-2018 figure skating season.

“Things went really well, I told the seniors that they skated better than they’ve skated all season,” said Pringle. “I felt all the soloists really stepped up and performed to their full capacity.”

Pringle said several of her skaters invited school friends to watch them perform, which was encouraging for both them and the club.

“The whole point is to get people interested in skating so it was nice to see,” she said. “The energy was really good in the rink tonight.”
