Prince Rupert Minor Hockey Association’s own Atom Seawolves earned themselves gold medals after winning every game they played during the Atom Shane Davis Memorial hockey tournament held earlier this month.
The Prince George Minor Hockey Association hosted the tournament that started on Friday, March 16, and ran until Sunday, March 18, with 18 teams competing for the top title.
The Prince Rupert hockey team won that title after winning six consecutive games in a row.
“We played very well defensively,” Said Coach Derek Northcott of the mixed-gender team, adding, “There was a pretty solid team effort all around.”
Prince Rupert’s own Brett Fudger was named the MVP player of the Shane Davis Memorial tournament.
