As a former Rupertite on temporary hiatus in Amsterdam NL, I do my best to keep up on all the news and developments in my wonderful hometown.
I was excited to read about the consideration of a new emergency service building in Prince Rupert for the RCMP and the Fire Rescue Department.
I couldn’t help but wonder where such an important facility might be best situated. I keep thinking about the lot on the corner of McBride Street and 2nd Avenue West that has sat empty for years. I think it can accommodate both the RCMP and Prince Rupert Fire Department needs, in addition to adding a solid presence in the community.
I’m off to dream of building concepts now. My husband - Michael and I look forward to returning ‘home’ as soon as possible to see what positive changes have taken place!
