Disappointed Enbridge won't attend public forums

I am most disappointed to see that Enbridge is not willing to participate in any more community forums about their proposed pipeline project.

We drove to Terrace to see first hand what is now going to be the only community forum.  It would have been most interesting and informative to be able to continue the dialogue here in Prince  Rupert.

The forum in Terrace was well organized, very well run, with a good moderator and civilized beyond what might normally be expected for such a hot topic.

If Enbridge will not participate in further public forums with such a good opportunity to present their case, then I can only come to one of two conclusions, either:

a) they believe they already have enough politicians in the bag to carry the day and there is no need for them to participate or  b) they fear public opinion really is important to their project and they do not want to participate in anything that might further rally the troops against them.  In either case, it shows Enbridge’s contempt for the over 80 per cent of British Columbians who do not want the oil pipeline/tanker  route.
