The family of Wolfgang "Wolf" Ilmer is deeply saddened to announce his passing on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at the age of 69 years.
Wolf was born in Germany and grew up in Comox, BC. He moved to Prince Rupert, BC, in the mid 1980's, where he spent many years as a High School Teacher. Following his retirement in 2013, he then moved to Grande Prairie, AB.
Some of Wolf's favourite pastimes were golfing, skiing and bowling. He was an avid collector of model trains and Disney memorabilia. He also had an abundance of love for his family and friends. His larger-than-life personality made him a favourite amongst many.
Wolf will be sadly missed by his wife Bonita Ilmer; sons Randy Ilmer (Melissa), Kody Nuttall; daughters Crystal Uchman(Joe), Natasha Cheater (Marc); grandchildren: Cora Haugan, Jameson Cheater, Trenton Cheater, Cassie Ilmer, Kenna Ilmer, Jack Uchman, and Olivia Uchman; brother Brian Haefner (Jessica); sisters in-law Alice Pittman (Charlie) and Patricia Letient (Henri); brothers in-law Wayne Kettle (Florence) and Jeff Irwin (Noi); as well as many nieces, nephews, and close family friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Anneliese and Richard Haefner; mother and father in-law Frances and Gordon Kettle; as well as his first wife Mary Anne Ilmer and her parents.
