It is with profound sadness that we announce Jim's sudden passing on Friday, January 12, surrounded by his family. Jim was born and raised in Prince Rupert and worked at the Pulp Mill from 1969 until its closure.

Jim was predeceased by his mother Thekla (1995) and his father Graham (1969). He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandra, his daughter Janis (Mike) Gray, his son Jamie and his two precious granddaughters Miranda and Hana Gray, sisters Ann (Gary) Ballinger, Jean Alexander and Marg Mulder, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim was well known for his generosity, great wit and sense of humour. He treasured family above all else but valued his friends just as dearly. He will be greatly missed.

His family wishes to thank the paramedics, ambulance attendants, the wonderful ER staff and Dr. Browne for their excellent care of Jim in his last days.

At his request, there will be no formal service.
