May 13, 1968 - November 19, 2019
Wendy Janet Boudreau died peacefully at her home in Prince Rupert BC, on November 19th, 2019. Her father Julius Boudreau predeceases Wendy. She is survived by her mother Carol Boudreau, her brothers Eddward Boudreau (Nancy and family), Derek Boudreau (Barb Fletcher), Bob Salzsauler (Stacey and family) and Darrell Pearson (Donna). Wendy had a common-law partner of 13 years, Dale Davies. She is also survived by her daughter Keyara Wellman (Robin Wellman), grandchildren Raina and Julius and many nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles.
Wendy was born in Prince Rupert in 1968, which is where she spent the majority of her life. Wendy found her passion for sewing early on in life and it led her into a 30-year career doing what she loved. She owned and operated OJ Custom Upholstery where she spent a lot of time working on furniture and boat tops.
At 33 years old, Wendy began her fight against breast cancer. She was an example of strength, determination, and positivity. Wendy never let her physical limitations hold her back from going camping, traveling, and adventuring. In December 2018, Wendy became a Kokum (grandmother) to Julius James who was the light of her life. Wendy leaves behind many beloved friends as a direct reflection of the beautiful person she was.
Her spirit glows within all of us and will continue to shine bright long after her passing.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Wendy in the spring of 2020.
