Wayne Harrison passed away at the age of 84 on November 14, 2017 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.

Born in Hannah, Alberta in 1933 Wayne moved to BC as a young boy eventually moving to Prince Rupert in the early 1950's. Wayne and his wife Chris were married in 1956 and raised their three children in Prince Rupert.

Wayne started with the Prince Rupert Fire Department in 1952, he was Prince Rupert's Fire Chief from 1971 to 1993 and has the distinction of serving the longest term ever as Fire Chief in Prince Rupert.

Wayne enjoyed and was an avid member of the Prince Rupert Archery Club and Black Powder Club.

Predeceased by his daughter Joy (Gilker), brothers Smokey, Doc, Loyal and Dale, stepdaughter or daughter Carol and his Grandson Ben Kuz.

Survived by his loving wife Chris, Daughter Belinda (Nick) Son Dwain (Janet) Grand Children Crescentia Kuz, Justin, Desiree and Dallas Gilker, Richie, Katie and Amber.

Great Grand Children Sarah, Paul, Elizabeth, Georgia, Alexis, Isabella, Lexi, Jayden, Dylan, Nevaeh, Keegan and Caydence.
