It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Victoria (Weir) Pellizzaro, on Friday August 20, 2021.
Victoria passed away peacefully at Vancouver General Hospital. Victoria was an amazing Mother, Grandmother, Auntie, Sister, Cousin and friend. She loved her family dearly and was very proud of all of her children and grandchildren's work ethic and accomplishments. She truly was the foundation of her entire family. Victoria always enjoyed a good laugh and great conversation, reminiscing about "the good old days". She loved socializing with her friends at her knitting club or over a coffee. She loved baking for her family and upcoming events. Victoria was also very proud of her Haida heritage and being a part of the Haida Eagle Dance Group. Victoria belonged to the Yahgu'jaanas' Clan, from the Shark house and her Haida name of Itla' Jaad' Kanaas (Lady of Many Riches) was passed down to Victoria (being the eldest granddaughter) from her Nonnie Carrie (Yeltatzie) Weir. The name was given to her by Nonnie Mary (Yeltatzie) Swanson at a Memorial Potlach Ceremony in 1998 in Old Masset Village, Haida Gwaii, B.C.
Victoria is survived by her devoted Husband of 52 years: Rolando, Daughter: Sheila, Sons: Franco, Roberto (Courtney), and Angelo Pellizzaro, Grandchildren: Kiara, Svend, Ryland, and Stryder. Her Sisters: Jacqueline Yeomans and Val Wiley (Kevin). Her Brother: Hank (Karl) Reschke. Her Cousin/Sisters: Christine (Terry) Carty, Ina (Richard) Biron, and Lori Davis.
Victoria is Predeceased by her Nonnie Carrie (Yeltazie) Weir, Chinnie Joseph Weir, Nonnie Mary (Yeltatzie) Swanson, Mother: Mildred Yeomans, Step Father: Roman (Karl) Reschke, Auntie: Mona Moreno, Brother: Arthur Yeomans, Auntie: Bunny Weir, Uncle: Alex Weir, Patrick Weir (Sr) and Cousin: Joseph Weir.

Funeral Service will take place at the Annunciation Church in Prince Rupert on Saturday October 2, 2021 at 11am. Tea and Refreshments to follow (downstairs).
