November 30, 1960 - November 21, 2019
It is with great sadness and love that we say goodbye to our sister, niece, aunt and friend, Tereasa (Terry) Philippson born November 30 1960 who passed away November 21st, 2019. Terry lived her life to the fullest, never allowing her illness to define her. She checked item after item off her bucket list as she travelled the world, cycled the Oregon coast and climbed the Chief in Squamish. She always had a place she wanted to go next and wouldn't let anything get in her way. She loved to be outdoors, whether it was hiking in Italy, visiting her childhood penpal in New Zealand or sitting out on "her" log at Osland B.C, her favourite place, reading a book or walking the boardwalk. As life became more challenging for Terry, she challenged life right back. She never complained about the difficulties she was facing; she just overcame them the best she could. If Terry was not on an adventure she was listening to music or going to concerts. Her passion for music was her trademark. Her friends and family would like everyone to remember her laugh, her kindness, her stories and the way she shared
whatever she had. Terry was a compassionate, vivacious lady who will always inspire those who loved her to enjoy life and to live it to the fullest.
Terry is predeceased by her parents Keith and Jacqueline Philippson, her beloved Nan, Jean Moorehead and the love of her life Bryan Kaardal. She is survived by her sisters Susan Philippson Madill, Linda Hansen brothers John and Billy Philippson. Her aunt Joanne Dunn (Bubby), Uncle Bob and Uncle Jim Moorehead. Her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Terry had many friends to numerous to list that loved her and cared for her going back to her early childhood. A celebration of life is to be held in Prince Rupert, BC at a later date. If friends or family so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to St. Stephen's United Church in Qualicum Beach.
