It is with heavy hearts that we
announce the sudden passing of
Sydney Wilfred Robertson on June 28, 2013 in Prince Rupert.
Sydney is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years Jackie; their three children Marilyn Norman (Nick Kanigan) Dale (Collette)
Robertson and Sandra (Richard) Howe, all residing in Saskatchewan. Syd is also survived his sister; Harlean Chappell, and five grandchildren; Adena, Jonathan, Melissa, Channel and Kyle; and three great-
grandchildren as well as extended family members.
Syd was predeceased by his parents Mary and Earnest Robertson, his brother Victor, his sister Pearl. his grandson Ryan and his son-in-law Leslie Norman.
Syd was born in the hamlet of Garthland, Saskatchewan on June 30, 1937. He brought his family to Prince Rupert in 1966 to work at the pulp mill. He completed his work-life operating heavy equipment for road maintenance.
Syd was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Moose Lodge and Teamsters Local 213.
He possessed a generous spirit and was a loyal friend. Syd’s sense of humor and many acts of kindness will be missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held in Saskatchewan where he will be interred next to family.
