May 22, 1940 - Jan 18, 2018
Shun Shing Leung passed away suddenly in his home on January 18, 2018 in Prince Rupert, BC.

Shing was born on May 22, 1940 in Hong Kong. He immigrated in 1966 to Canada and settled shortly after in Prince Rupert, which became his home for the rest of his life. Shing raised three children in Prince Rupert and enjoyed being a part of this tight knit community, especially the Prince Rupert Chinese Association. He worked at the pulp mill and retired in 2003.

Shing spent his retired years traveling and visiting his grandchildren. When he wasn't away he maintained an active, comfortable routine in Prince Rupert. Education was an important value for Shing and he shared his guidance with his children and later his grandchildren. Their path in life and work ethic is greatly influenced by their father/grandfather.

He is survived by his wife Connie, his children Dennis (Holly), Shirley (Marvin) and Hugh; his siblings Amy (Patrick), John (Sandy) and Cecilia; and his five beloved grandchildren Macyn, Kennedy, Liam, Brady and Ronan.

Shing is predeceased by his first wife Lisa and his sister Sau Ching.

He will be laid to rest on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 with a service starting at 11:00 am at Ferguson Funeral Home.
