It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Shirley Guyan who left us on March 24th, 2019 in Victoria General Hospital. She passed away in her sleep at 97 years old after a well lived life. She leaves behind her three children Sandra (Allen), Lynn (Gerhard) and Peter (Catherine) and her eight grandchildren, Scott, Jan, Brent, Devin, Stacy, Shael, Drew, Quinn and eight great-grandchildren, Christopher, Fynn, Shannon, Georgia, Sophia, Violet, Anders, Bowen, and great-great grandchild Beatrix, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Peter Guyan after 50 years of marriage as well as her brother Doug Hague.

Shirley was born in Anyox, BC in 1921 before moving to Prince Rupert where she married and raised her family. After living in Prince Rupert for over 70 years, she moved to Victoria to be near her family.

We will be forever grateful for having Shirley in our lives, she will be profoundly missed and will never be forgotten.

A private celebration will be held at a later date with her immediate family.
