The family of Shelly Ann Wagner (Whittles) sadly announces the sudden passing of their beloved Wife, Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Niece.
Shelly was predeceased by her father, Vernon Whittles and sister, Patricia Hutcheon. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ron Wagner; mother, Anna Whittles; brother, Brad Whittles (Christina); brother-in-law, Doug Hutcheon; step-sons, Jason Wagner and Neal Wagner; grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, Ryland and Andrea Wagner; nephews and
nieces, Murray Hutcheon (Morganne), Stephanie Hutcheon (Tyler), Brett Hutcheon, Sean Hutcheon and Kadeyn Whittles; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Born November 30, 1958 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Shelly was the first born child of Vernon and Anna Whittles. The family relocated to Delta, B.C., where Shelly graduated high school. In 1976, the family settled in Prince Rupert, B.C., where Shelly began her long career in Accounting. Prince Rupert is where she met and later married Ron Wagner on August 21, 1993. Shelly and Ron were prominent business owners in Prince Rupert including H&R Block and Totem Bingo Hall. Her career as an Accountant included employment at the pulp mill, City of Prince Rupert, CityTel and the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital. Shelly recently retired, April 2016, from Suncor Energy in Calgary, Ab.
A service will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Church, 636 6th Ave West, Prince Rupert, B.C. A gathering of family and friends will follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
