In loving memory ~
Sharon passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26th after a rapidly progressing debilitating illness. Her cheerfulness, sense of humor and sharing nature will be missed by many.
Sharon was living in a group home in Terrace for 18 months and her dearest wish was to return home to Prince Rupert. On January 11th her wish came true, and she was welcomed by the wonderful staff at Acropolis Manor.
Special thanks to the staff in the North Pod that treated Sharon with love and kindness during her final 2 weeks. I will always feel grateful to Leslie for being an advocate for Sharon. Brenda, you will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Sharon was fortunate to share a room with Wendy, a beautiful, kind, sweet lady from Kitkatla that watched over her the entire two weeks. Thank you, dearest Wendy!
Also, thank you to Beth and Alena at TSC for supporting Sharon at the beginning of her illness and to the awesome TSC staff at Kalum House in Terrace. Special mention to nurse, Peter Gill who is a warrior for his clients. Finally, thank you to my dear friends that supported both myself and Sharon throughout her illness.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Kareena Wrathall; her sister, Terry Wrathall; her Aunty Kit, two nieces and many cousins.
A memorial service will take place in March at Thompson Community Services activity room in the Ocean Mall. The date will be announced.
Donations to the CurePSP foundation in Sharon's name are gratefully appreciated.
