It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sergio Hullana Cachero on Tuesday July 30, 2019 at the age of 83. Born in Baguio, Philippines, he and his family immigrated to Prince Rupert in 1971. After a successful career as the City Treasurer, he retired to Comox, and most recently resided in New Westminster.
Predeceased by his parents Facundo and Eulalia, sister Leticia Anderson and brother Porfirio, Sergio is survived by his wife of 63 years, Edna; their six children Conrad (Brenda), Mario (Wendy), Mary Jane (Stan), Erwin (Liz), Gerardo (Rachel), and Charito (Andrew); 8 grandchildren; and 1 great- grandson. He will also be lovingly remembered by his sisters Laulita Carranza, Remedios Bartko, Tita Cachero and Sally Bell (Dave), brother-in- law Francis Valera (Mary) and numerous family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home 3789 Royal Oak Avenue Burnaby BC on Saturday August 17, 2019 at 9:30 am. Condolences may be left at www.forestlawn-burnaby.com
