February 23, 1941 - May 21, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather. He passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020, at his home, with his family by his side.
He will be greatly missed and remembered by his loving wife, Marianne, of 59 years; his son Alan (Sharon) and daughters Shauna and Sharon; four grandchildren Cynthia and Alexandra Oskey, and, Hannah and Aiden Hoff.
He also leaves behind his Brothers in law Adrian (Rosalie) Donders and James MacDougall as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bob was born in Prince Rupert BC and lived here all his life. He worked at the Forest service after graduation and in the spring of 1962 started at the Pulp Mill where he worked until he retired in June 1995. He spent the next 22 years enjoying retired life with his family, travelling and at his favourite past time, golfing.
He had a stroke January 28, 2018, which left him partially paralyzed and at home until his passing.
There will be no service due to Covid-19. Bob will be cremated and a private service will be held at Fairview Cemetery.
The family would like to thank everyone for the visits and calls over the past 2 years. Also thank you to Dr. Stene and a very special thank you to the Home Care Nurses for their care and compassion. You are all Angels.
