Robert Allan Pottle

October 18, 1947 - March 27, 2025

Robert Allan Pottle passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, in Prince Rupert, BC, with family by his side.

Bob was born in Prince Rupert, BC, on October 18, 1947, to Arline (Fitzgerald) and William Pottle. He grew up with brothers Ron (Barb) and Bill (Heather) making the best memories together. In 2009, he married the love of his life, Christine (Ostrom). Together they spent time in Okanagan Falls, and working on the cabin out in Hunts Inlet. In 2018 they settled down back in Prince Rupert. Creating another beautiful home together with their dogs Layla and Martha. His baby girl Layla, never leaving his side.

Bob lived a busy and adventurous life. Whether it was skiing, badminton, golf, cooking, traveling, fishing, he was up for anything and always had a good story to tell. Throughout his life he worked in construction and commercial fishing aboard the Laurel Ann. He could build anything he dreamed up and could fix it all. He was always working on projects both at home in his shop and at the cabin, whistling while puttering about.

No one who met Bob will forget his infectious smile. He was an amazing friend to many and always willing to lend a hand. A true gentleman.

His memory and stories will be celebrated and live on through his loving sons Sean (Nicole) and Mark (Jennifer), and stepdaughters Elisha (Tyler) and Kiara (Chris), and cherished grandchildren Josh, Zoe, Addie, Nicolas, Arlinn, Ash, Adora, Finn, Grey and Mara.

A celebration of his life will be held at his favourite place, Hunts Inlet, on April 19, 2025, at high tide. An open house will be hosted at the Pottle house from 3-6pm on May 31, 2025. Friends are invited to come and share stories, laughter, and cherished memories of Bob.
