November 13, 1941 - February 23, 2021
Richard "Dickie" Crosby passed away suddenly from complications due to COVID 19 on the afternoon of February 23rd 2021. He is survived by his of wife of 53 years Mary Crosby (nee Smart) his children Trevor Smart (Susie), Janine Crosby (Ray Lavellee), Curtis Crosby and his grandchidren Tony McDonald (Janine), Katelynn Smart, Sean Lavellee, Eric Lavellee, Skyler Lavellee and Chloe Hill (Curtis).
Richard was a hard worker his whole life and he instilled his hard work ethic on to his children. He worked at the Pulp Mill for 40 years until it shut down and then went fishing for a couple years after he retired.
Richard was very passionate about running and fitness. When he was young he competed in a race from Galloway Rapids Bridge to Prince Rupert and won. He also did the 1⁄2 Ironman triathlon and ran the Crest Glory Days 5 and 10k run every year with his youngest son Curtis.
He loved to work on cars (Chevy man) and happily helped anybody who needed or asked for help with their car.
He was a good public speaker and loved to make his friends and family laugh, he was always the comedian.
Richard was a great father, step-father, grandfather, uncle, son and brother. He loved and treated his step-son like he was his own. He loved his parents Phillip and Cora now deceased and his younger sisters Margaret, Janice and Sandra (deceased).
When his parents were at work he made sure his younger sisters were looked after and cared for.
Richard was a very kind and loving man who made lots of friends over the years. He will be dearly by missed by everyone.
