Raymond Des Champ

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, husband and "Papa", Raymond Thomas Des Champ who passed away on July 4, 2022 @ Prince Rupert Regional Hospital after a short courageous battle with cancer.
Raymond was born on August 20, 1942 in Shelburne, Nova Scotia to the late Beulah Des Champ and the late Harold Foote. Raymond is survived by his wife Ethel and his sons Brian (Sheri), Tim (Victoria), Trevor (Courtney), and Evan (Raeanne); by his grandchildren: Adrianna, Trevor, Arlen, and Marcus; and step-grandchildren, Grace, Hannah, Mason and Mac. Raymond is survived by his siblings David, Kenny (Dorothy), Wesley (Donna), Jane Fudge and Doreen. He is predeceased by his siblings Juanita, Rodney, Barry and Violet. Raymond is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, by brother-in-law Spencer (Linda) Acker, Brian (Linda) Acker, Wayne Acker, and sister-in-law Debbie Arnold and Barbara Acker. He is also survived by his cat, Mittens.
There will be a memorial service at the First United Church in Prince Rupert on July 16, 2022 at 1pm, followed by light snacks in the gathering place at the United Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Children's Hospital or the IWK Children's hospital in Halifax, NS.
