It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Ray. Ray was born Dec. 22, 1933 in Sioux Lookout, Ont. to Helge (Andy) and Ingeborg Andersen. He is predeceased by his parents, son Mathew, nephew Kirk and brother-in-law Nick.
Ray arrived in Prince Rupert with his parents and sister Carol in 1942 when he was 9 years old and lived here until he and his wife Maureen moved to Gabriola Island in 1989 and in 2000 to Nanaimo. Always an entrepreneur, Ray owned Wrathall's Photo Finishing with Joe Arseneau and later with Maureen, Studio 9, Star of the West Books and Smiles Cafe.
Always a kind and gentle man who loved his family, Ray will be missed by his wife Maureen, sister Carol, daughters Soraya (Lorne) Camille (Scott) Jaila, sons Kim and Christian. Grandchildren Letasha (Rob), Celina (Armand) Morgan (Chris) Kai and Zoe. Great Grandchildren Abigail, Hudson and Phoenix. Niece Karen (John) Andi, Brynn and Ben and many cousins in Denmark.
