June 1, 1958 - February 19, 2020
Ralph passed away peacefully in Kelowna General hospital on February 19, 2020 after battling some health issues complicated by the flu. Ralph was born in Prince Rupert, BC and lived his earlier years in Oona River, BC where he worked with his Dad and brothers logging and fishing. Ralph eventually moved to Prince Rupert and obtained a job at the Port of Prince Rupert which was his second family. He was a dedicated, hard worker who would always show up no matter what. He was on the crew when they unloaded the first container ship.
Ralph was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Thelma Letts and by his brother Freddie Letts. He is survived by his sister Jan Lemon, brother Bobby Letts, sister-in-law Joanne Letts, nieces Pam Lemon (Des Shearing), Sheri Deschamp (Brian), Gina Mastroianni (Mark), Meagan Morash (Doug), nephews Danny Lemon (Kristina), Andrew Letts (Tamara), family and friends. Ralph was a quiet, jovial man who could often be seen riding around town on his scooter, at Tim Hortons for a coffee or having a Friday night drink at the Wheelhouse with his friends. He will be forever missed.
There will be a service at 2 pm on February 29, 2020 at the United Church, followed by a celebration of life at the Highliner Inn from 3 - 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation at heartandstroke.ca.
