July 13, 1952 - May 2, 2018
On May 2, Barrie peacefully left this world. He was our father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and a best friend to many. As a seasoned fisherman Barrie worked his gear and boats up and down the BC coast for his entire life, touching the lives of many people along the way with his willingness to help, his ability to turn his hands to any task and an eye for fairness and a job well done.

Barrie was predeceased by his father Ralph Verner Wick. He is survived by his two children, Kyersten (Ian) and Wade (Lesia) and their growing young families, his loving mother, "Buddy", and his younger brothers John, Marty (Marianne), Brian (Melony) and several nieces and nephews. His grandchildren, Lily, Ole, Liam, Eva, Elin and Heidi, were his pride and joy and the lights of his life.

Barrie will be deeply missed by his family and his pals and workmates who were all part of his "trip" through life. We will hold his smile and laugh in our hearts forever.

Donations can be made to BC Children's Hospital, Ronald McDonald House or the BC Cancer Foundation in lieu of flowers.

"Life is like an ocean. It can be either calm or still, rough or rigid, but in the end, it is always beautiful."
