It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our friend Per "Pete" Brandt at 99 years of age. Per was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, and passed away peacefully in the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.
Per enjoyed a variety of activities throughout his life. Gardening was one of his most relaxing hobbies, as he was a horticulturist in many nurseries in his younger years, and always maintained that green thumb.
He participated in many sports through the years, as a player, coach and/or referee, including archery, badminton, boxing, soccer and table tennis (or ping pong), just to name a few. Per loved the ocean, and was a commercial fisherman for many years, trolling the west coast for salmon aboard his boat "My Bonnie", until his retirement. He was also an avid reader and always had a desire to learn, and had many home remedies and natural treatments that he shared with all of us.
Per's ashes will be scattered at a later date according to his wishes. He will be missed and lovingly remembered by his close friends in Prince Rupert.
