October 21, 1915 - April 5, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother Olga Newton on April 5, 2020 at the Acropolis Manor in Prince Rupert BC.
Olga was born in Bentley, AB on Oct 21,1915. Olga and Sandy married in Bentley AB and moved to Prince Rupert in 1941. Olga worked for many years at various fish plants. She was an avid curler, bowler and golfer.
In 1947 Olga & Sandy bought their home on Pigott Pl and in 2012 she reluctantly moved to Summit Residence.
Olga was predeceased by her husband Sandy in 1991 & sons in law Tuffy & Gordon.
Olga is survived by her children May MacKenzie, John (Sally), Betty Howe, Robert (Cherie) & Al (Nancy), 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild. She was known and loved by all of them.
Special thanks to Dr. Belgardt for as she would say "taking such good care of her for so many years", the team at Summit Residence who are amazing and the very supportive staff of Acropolis Manor.
