Myrna passed away peacefully at Prince Rupert Hospital with her family by her side, on January 22, 2021. Born in Spa Xksuutks (Port Essington), British Columbia, to Felix and Ruby Brown.
Myrna is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Robert, "Bobby Jay", and her children Allen Johnson, Randolph Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, and Sherry Johnson. Her brothers, George, Larry, and Tim.
Myrna is survived by her sister, Darlene (Joe); daughters Melody (Carmen) and Carol; sons Troy, Robert Jr. (Alice), and Steven; grandchildren Jennifer, Tanya, Kenneth, Preston, Kassidy Rose, Michael, Kara, Amy, and Tawny; and great grandchildren: Evelyn, Tatum, Ken, Corbin, Alexander, Dallas, Asher, Peyton, and Liam. Myrna will be missed by her cousins, many nieces, and nephews.
Myrna married the love of her life, Bobby Jay, on December 21, 1957 and had nine beautiful children in which they made Port Edward, BC their home. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and being with her husband fishing the Skeena River.
Mom enjoyed playing cards, cooking, and eating our traditional foods, she especially liked jarring sockeye salmon, listening to classic country and gospel music, watching game shows with her favorite being "Wheel of Fortune", doing Word Search puzzles, scratching Bingo Multiplier lottery tickets, and on occasion attend the casino.
She will be fondly remembered for her energy, generosity, and loving kindness. Special thank you to the nurses at Prince Rupert Hospital and Dr. Belgardt for your care and kindness.
