April 27, 1948 – June 25, 2019
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Mazie. She left us on June 25, 2019 with Carroll and family by her side at the Acropolis Manor in Prince Rupert. She will be dearly missed by many.
Mazie leaves behind many family and friends. Mazie’s son Warren Selig. Her three sisters Chrystal-Anne (Paul),
Nattie (Don) and Debbie. Her best friend, Diane (Leo) Lohnes, Cindy (Bert) Mielken and her former boss Eric Hand. The Swim-Mcneil, Misko, and Gallant families. Along with her nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Mazie is predeceased by her husband Robert Selig.
She was born in Nova Scotia in 1948 and moved to Prince Rupert for her first time in 1976. She Then moved back to
Nova Scotia to respect her husbands wishes. She moved home to Prince Rupert for one last time to settle for the best four years of her life where she met Carroll Swim, her partner of the past four years. Carroll and Mazie spent many nights sharing the most memorable moments doing what Mazie loved to do which was Dancing!
Mazie was a very active lady. She spent lots of time walking her dog Skeena with her friend Diane. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, camping, music and of course most of all DANCING!
You will always be remembered by those beautiful blue eyes and your smile that would light up the world! We all know you will always be dancing in the sky above.
Mazie’s family and friends would like to thank the Staff of the Acropolis Manor and Prince Rupert Regional Hospital that took such great care of her.
A celebration of life will be held for Mazie at the Prince Rupert Raquet Centre on July 7, 2019 at 1 pm. Come share a story or two!
