We are sad to announce the passing of Mavis Elizabeth Haugan (nee Thain).
She was predeceased by her parents George and Rose Thain, brothers George Thain and Bill Thain, husband Raymond (Nick) Haugan, and son David (Crockett) Haugan. Mavis is lovingly survived by her two sons Richard (Cynthia) Haugan and Peter (Darlene) Haugan and daughter- in-law Mary Haugan as well as her two sisters Kathleen (Ray) Turner and Rusty (Bert) Ljungh. Mavis is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Amanda (Lanny) Haugan, Todd (Amy) Haugan (Kaiden, Makena and River), Chris (Naila) Haugan (Cora), Dawn Haugan, Shaylene (Mark) Findlay, and Myriah Haugan. She is
survived by her many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Mavis was born and raised in Prince Rupert, BC. She spent the majority of her life in Prince Rupert until moving to Terrace in 1990. She returned to Prince Rupert in her final years.
The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Tania De Klerk and the many nurses that cared for Mavis in her final days.
As per Mavis' wishes there will be no service held and a private family burial will take place in Terrace, BC.
