Mary Ellen McCann

July 23, 1953 - July 31, 2019
She moved to BC in 1980, finally settling down in Prince Rupert in 1981. Having worked at the pulp mill until it shut down, she made many friends. As well as, volunteering for the Boys and Girls club for a spell, she also volunteered for the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets. Also a proud member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle, here in Prince Rupert.
Later in life she was diagnosed with cancer, it was a long drawn out battle that was fought for over twenty years. Sadly, she lost that fight on July 31, 2019.
Mary Ellen had an enormous heart, and was generous with it. Often being described as easily approachable with a boisterous, yet unforgettable, laugh. Survived by her son Justin McCann, sisters Rosemary, identical twin Olive, Marsha, Joanne, Valerie, and in spirit Trudy. Brothers, Jim, Bill, Ernie and an extended family to large to list all share the loss of such a beautiful woman.
There will be a celebration of life, at the Pentecostal Tabernacle on Friday, August the 23 at 1pm.
