July 18, 1921 - August 7, 2020
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Nonna and Bisnonna Mary Anna Sambo at the age of 99. Mary passed away peacefully on a stormy August 7th afternoon with her loved ones by her side. A funeral mass was held on August 18th after which she was laid to rest next to Bruno, the love of her life.
Mary had a kind and gentle spirit that will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She loved to laugh and tell stories of her life in Italy and Canada. But most of all she cherished her family, especially her grand children and great grand children. They brought a special joy to her life. She took great pleasure in gathering her loved ones and preparing a meal for them.
Mary loved to tend to her flowers and would spend hours in her garden.
The family would like to thank Fr. Terry for his weekly visits to mom, and to Dr. Fawell and Dr. Lynch for the compassionate care they gave her. To the angels from Home Care Nursing, thank you for treating mom with the dignity and respect she deserved.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Annunciation Church or the charity of your choice.
A celebration of life to remember Mary will be held at a later date.
