Margit Gardiner (Mark) passed away peacefully in the Daajing Giids hospital on December 2, 2023.
Margit is survived by children Brian (Donna) and Debby (Louis), grandson Max, brother Alan and many nieces and nephews.
Pre-deceased by husband Ray, parents Anna and Nels, brothers Viggo, Svend, Vagn and Peter and sister Lena.
Margit was born in Denmark on April 3, 1935. She moved to Prince Rupert, B.C. with her family in 1949.
Margit loved gardening, playing cards and having coffee with her nieces and nephews. She moved to Haida Gwaii in 2018 and was laid to rest at Daajing Giids on December 11, 2023.
The family would like to thank her friends in Prince Rupert and the staff at Martin Manor and Haida Gwaii Hospital and Health Centre.
The doctors, nurses, and care aides provided excellent and professional care.
