December 13, 1951 - July 24, 2018
Linda passed away peacefully at home on her own terms surrounded by the love of family and friends. She leaves behind her husband Allan, mother Doris Chown and sister Susan Pickles (Paul). She was predeceased by her father James and brother Miles. She also leaves behind numerous in laws, nieces and nephews.

Linda was born in Hamilton, Ontario. She graduated from Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario with a Bachelor of Science degree. Prince Rupert has been her home since 1983.

An avid traveller, Linda visited numerous countries throughout her life. She had many varied interests - she was an accomplished seamstress and quilter, a member of Belles, a curler and dragon boater. Linda was a tireless advocate for animal rights and care, spending hours volunteering for SPCA causes. Her sanctuary was her and Allan's cabin at Lakelse Lake.

The family would like to thank Jennifer Nelson, Community Nursing, especially Joan Patriquin, Dr. C. Coetzee, Dr. Said and the volunteers at the Prince Rupert and District Hospice Society for their kindness and care.

In lieu of flowers, Linda asked that donations be made to the Trap, Neuter and Release (TNR) program through the Pacific Coast Veterinary Hospital.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Crest Hotel, September 8, 2018, 1:00 to 5:00 pm.
