Kenneth Jon (Ian) Booth passed away after a short illness on May 29, 2016. He is survived by his four children, Kimberly Balas, Kevin Biggerstaff, and David and James Booth, as well as seven grandchildren.

Ian came to Prince Rupert to teach in 1967, and fell in love with the community. He found time to be an actor, a writer, a painter, even a city councilor, but most people will remember him as a teacher who created indelible memories in his classroom. He will be missed by many, including his longtime friend and former spouse, Kathleen Booth. There will be no service, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
