Micholuk

Joyce

It is with great sadness that we announce that Joyce Micholuk recently passed away peacefully.

Joyce is predeceased by her loving husband, Jack. Joyce and Jack met in England, during the War on a train when Joyce was travelling to a relative’s funeral. It was love at first sight. They were married in England and then Jack returned to Canada. Joyce made the journey, by herself, at a later date, to join the love of her life for the next 67 years!!

As a devoted wife and mother, Joyce became a masterful homemaker and was always willing to learn. Whatever Joyce created, she put 100% into the perfection of it all, which included cooking, baking, knitting, crocheting. In her spare time, Joyce sold Avon products for many years and as a result of that won the highest awards from the Co.

Joyce was an active member in her community, belonging to organizations such as The Ukrainian Club, I.O.D.E., Daughters of the Nile, Prince Rupert Hospital Auxilliary, Red Hat Society and the Lester Centre.

During their retirement years, Joyce and Jack spent a lot of time on Cruises around the world which they both enjoyed.

After Jack passed away, Joyce continued her retirement in the sunny Okanagan where she became an active participant at her retirement residence.

Joyce was also predeceased by her loving son John and will be greatly missed by her daughter, Jillian, son Jay and grandchildren Michelle, Tyler, Melissa, Kristi and Sabrina as well as her four great grandsons. Also left to grieve are niece, Jacquie Arney; Nephews Bill and Jack Mussell, and numerous other nephews and a nieces in BC and England. We are all at peace knowing that Jack and Joyce are together again.
