Joseph passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.EHe was born in Croatia, but came to Canada on September 18, 1963. He became a Canadian citizen and started working his way across Canada starting on the east coast and making his way to finally make his home in British Columbia.
Joe worked various jobs in the 1960's in Prince Rupert, like Vans Bakery before getting his permanent job with Skeena Cellulose, which he retired from in 2003. Joe met his wife, Doreen and started his family, having 2 children: Son, William Novak (Wendy Ridley) and Daughter, Diane Sampare (Vince Sampare) and grandchildren Jesse, Joely and Bobbi.
Joe personally kept to himself and family, not much involved with extra curricular activities. He was very much an animal lover and had many pets- cats and dogs. Joe was often seen with his golden retriever Charlie on his walks along McClymont park creek.
Joe was cremated and his ashes to be spread as he requested.EThe Novak and Sampare family would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital in Prince Rupert.
As per his wishes, Joe didn't want to have a funeral or memorial, everything that was sad to him, he just asked that family and friends, when they think of him to raise a glass and cheers to his life he lived and remember the happy memories you had of him.
