It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of a great mother, sister and friend. Janet was born in Rosedale B.C., eldest daughter to Ernest and Phyllis Rhodes.
She will be sadly missed by her sister Marjorie Trott, brothers Richard (Deb) and Bryan (Diane), sons Tony (Roxanne) and Daniel (Melissa), Janet was very career oriented and always excelled. She moved to Prince Rupert in 1970 and worked in the office at the Prince Rupert Fishermans COOP, Later she started her 43 year career with the provincial government working for the Coast Guard, Forestry and finally the majority of her years were spent with the ministry of Highways. The job took her to Prince George with her last 20 years being spent in Terrace where she retired.
A service will be held at Knox United Church in Terrace on Feb 24 2024 at 1PM with reception to follow. At a later date Janet will be laid to rest with her family in Chilliwack B.C. All those that knew Janet are welcome.
