James Daniel Demings was born in Windsor, Ontario May 29,1961. Jim left this world July 12, 2020. Predeceased by his parents Earle and Margaret Demings, and brothers Billy and Michael. Jim is survived by his daughter Amanda Goertzen and grandchildren Kody, Katelyn, and Jordan, his brothers Gerry and Kevin (Tina), sister Charlene and many nieces and nephews. At age twelve Jim moved with his family from Nova Scotia to Prince Rupert. As a teenager Jim tried fishing with his father for a time, later working for the City of Prince Rupert, Jim married and had a daughter. Skeena Taxi will remember Jim as one of their drivers, but Jim's love for music was always his passion and this is where Jim would shine. Jim wrote some beautiful songs and was a gifted singer and guitar player. A busker on the streets of Prince Rupert for many years and also in the Comox Valley; Jim had a tender soul, and could bring many to tears with his music. Thank you to all the people of Prince Rupert who were so giving, caring and kind to Jim, this made Jim's world a brighter place to be.

Jim is now fully healed and at peace. Jesus said,"I am the resurrection and the life, he that believes in me though he were dead, yet shall he live. John 11:25
