Jim left his earthly home to join his wife of 72 years, Audrey, on February 22, 2018.
Born in Burnaby, B.C. on September 8, 1920, he is survived by his daughters, Dianne Movold (Vern) of Kemptville, Ontario and Janet Pierce (Terry) of Prince Rupert.
He is also survived by grandsons, Scott, Greg (Keri), Andrew (Nicole) and Jeremy (Angeline) along with great-grandchildren Zachary, Beau, Ireland, Payton, Thomas, Aidan, Connlan and Lily.
Jim retired from the military in 1970 and moved to Prince Rupert where he worked for the Provincial Emergency Program. He was very active in Rotary and was the recipient of a Paul Harris Fellowship. He was also active in the Masons and the Prince Rupert Senior's Centre.
For many years he provided senior's counselling.
A family gathering will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to B.C. Children's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
