It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and great aunt. Jackie passed away peacefully, at home, with her family and dear friends by her side.
Jackie was born in Smithers, BC to Jack and Ena Ekman. The family moved to Prince Rupert in 1965 where Jackie attended high school and met the love of her life, Dave Wilson. She became a registered nurse through the Royal Columbian Hospital and began her nursing career Prince Rupert where she and Dave raised their two children.
Jackie always made sure her family and friends were cared for even though they would tease her about being bossy. She loved gardening and scrapbooking. Friends and family always looked forward to receiving one of her beautiful handmade cards.
Jackie will be greatly missed by her husband Dave, daughter Kristen (Glenn) Kerr, son Rob Wilson, brother Eric (Lindy) Ekman, sister Elaine (Larry) Lohnes, sister Christina Norton, sister-in-law Joan (Doug) Mullin, as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Doctors Coetzee, Dufour and Miller, as well as the Home Care staff and Jennifer Nelson. A special thank you to Marne Deinstadt and Joan Mullin for all those great meals and to Sharron Paulson for her care and support.
Jackie will be laid to rest beside her parents, in a private ceremony, in Smithers, BC. Due to Covid-19, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
