Hulda passed away peacefully at the Acropolis Manor on March 7th. Hulda was predeceased by parents Reinhold and Eva Wittchen, baby boy Rolf and son Alvin.
Survived by daughter Monica Berryman (Terry), several grandchildren, brothers Victor Wittchen (Eileen), Eugen Wittchen (Helga), sister Helga Poeppel (Arnold), step-sister Eva Bohl (Otto), step-brother Manfred Donnerstag (Maria) and many nieces and nephews.
Hulda immigrated from Germany at 19 along with brother Victor at 18, Fred & Eva. They worked hard to bring Oma, Dad, Mom and siblings Eugen and Helga to Canada.
Hulda worked at the old hospital, Broadway Restaurant, The Bargain Shop and 10 years at Zellers in the shoe department. She loved to start the day with a hug for everyone. Hulda's favourite pastime was knitting, crocheting and walking for miles.
Hulda will be dearly missed by family and friends.
There will be no funeral at Hulda's request.
Interment along side her Oma in Prince Rupert at a later date.
