August 17, 1931 - February 14, 2021
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Gladice Marshall on February 14 2021. She was born to John Henry New and Beatrice Sarah Croswell in Smokey Lake AB and raised in Kinuso AB. In 1955 she moved to Prince Rupert with her first husband Leslie Harman and started a family.
She married Jim Marshall in 1973. In 1974 she moved to Port Edward B.C. While in Port Edward she and Jim became active Lions/Lioness club members. Mom was also a Legion member for over fifty years. Mom also sponsored overseas children.
In 2006 mom moved back to Prince Rupert and was able to stay at her home until August 2020. Mom was able to stay at home for the last two years because of help she received from her daughter Elaine and son Allan and Home Support. In August 2020 she stayed at PRRH until she transferred to Acropolis Manor in mid September.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Jim in 1993. Mom will be sadly missed by her brother Norman and his wife Glennis, her sons Ken Harman, Stuart Harman (Dar), Allan Harman and her daughter Elaine Harman. Mom is also survived by her two grandchildren Whess and Rachel her nephews Warren and Kevin and nieces Cheryl and Tina.
The family would like to thank Home Support especially Cathryn and Sara, Dr Croft and all the staff of PRRH and the Acropolis Manor for the care they provided to make mom comfortable.
It was Mom's faith that got her through the good times and tough times. We would also like to thank Father Terry Brock for his home visits and the ones he was able to do to the Acropolis Manor
Due to Covid there will be no service.
