Giacomo (Jack) Briglio passed away peacefully March 9, 2019, the day after his 97th birthday.

Jack came to Prince Rupert from Savuto, Italy in 1951. He worked many years at the pulp mill and never idle, spent countless hours building houses for his family and others. His kindnesses to his fellow Rupertites will no doubt be remembered as he touched many lives here. His philosophy in life was, "Do good and forget about it".

He is predeceased his parents Giovani and Vittoria Briglio, his beloved wife Giovannina and his sisters Gelestina (Spano) and Carmela (Vennera). He is survived by his daughter Vittoria (Frank) Zdravlje, sons John and Tony (Tina) Briglio. Grandchildren Loredana (Bill) Eisenhauer, Janet (Bill) Crocker, Rudy (Morgan) Zdravlje, Jay (Chelsey) Briglio, Carrie (Ty) Briglio, and Daniel Briglio and his cherished great grandchildren. Sisters Elizabeth (Repole), Mafalda (Briglio) and Maria (Vennera) and numerous beloved nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy including Sal Ferlaino in Prince Rupert who was akin to a son and his family Julie, Jack, Ruby, Libby and Bianca.

Funeral Mass to be held at the Annunciation Church on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Transplant Research Foundation www.trfbc.org or mail donation to VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, 190-855 West 12th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5Z 1M9, Canada. Please indicate that the donation is for the Transplant Research Foundation of BC Fund in the memo line.
