Law, Gerald - Passed away at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital, with his wife and son by his side, on Friday August 21, 2020. Gerry was born on December 1, 1940 in Vancouver, B.C. He was a retired paramedic, serving the Prince Rupert area for a number of years.
Gerry was a member of the Knights of Columbus running the community weekly garage sales and other events affiliated with the catholic church. He was also a Governor of the Moose Lodge legion, and a member of the both the Elks and Lions Clubs; local charitable organizations that gave bursaries and scholarships to students going on to post secondary education. Along with his wife Lyne, he also worked closely with the Filipino-Canadian association of Prince Rupert participating in various fund raisers. When he was healthy he enjoyed being very busy and involved with the community.
Gerry is survived by his wife Lyne, sons Patrick, Terry (Jenn), his daughter Tina, (Glenn), grandchildren, Brian & Zach, his brother Larry (Gwen), his nephews, Jason, Justin (Tracy), his sister Janice (Wilbur) niece, Tanya, his sister Judy (Harry) niece Lynn, nephew Darren (Nara), niece Leah (Dean) and many friends in the Filipino community.
Gerry is predeceased by his grandparents, father Lawrence, mother Muriel, brother Billy, son Garry, and nephew Conrad.
Thank you to the staff of the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital for their compassionate care during his illness.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 1, at 11:00 a.m at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Prince Rupert.
