April 21, 1944 - April 4, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our husband and father, Frank Bortignon, on April 4, 2020 at home in Prince Rupert, BC. Frank was born in Romano D'Ezzelino, Italy. He moved to Prince Rupert, where he met and married Phyllis on October 25, 1975.
Frank worked for many years at his trade as a baker in Prince Rupert, where he was widely known as 'Frank the Baker'.
Frank was an avid gardener, curler, enjoyed fishing with his friends but his favourite pass time was baking and cooking for everyone. Most especially his jarred grappa cherries.
Frank was predeceased by his mother and father, Maria & Giuseppe. Frank is survived by his wife Phyllis, sister Anna (Pietro), children Barbara, Alex, Jackie (Ross), Anita (Steve) and adored grandchildren, Robbie, Madison, Jordyn, Luke & Max.
A special thank you to Dr. Kloppers for his love and support to Frank and his family, as well as the paramedics, RCMP, and Joy Sundin.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital in his name.
