Francis Clayton (Frank) Douglas

June 15, 1945 – August 30, 2022

Frank was born in Prince George, BC on June 15, 1945 and passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at home with his loving family at his bedside.
Frank is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margaret (Russell) Douglas, his son Donald (Calgary), daughter Debra (Victoria) and grandson Josh Douglas and his wife Trinity (108 Mile) as well as three great grandchildren, Kadrean, Kida and Clayton.
Frank was the son of Helen & Don Douglas of Prince Rupert who both predeceased him in 1995. He was also predeceased by his sister Heather Gammon of Victoria in 2014 and earlier this year by his brother Donald “Trent” Douglas of Prince Rupert.
Frank was employed for 35 years as a Millwright at Columbia Cellulose in Prince Rupert until the mill permanently closed, at which time he and Margaret moved to Fort McMurray where he was employed at Syncrude.
Margaret and Frank retired in 2009 and settled at 108 Mile.
Frank was a devoted family man, a hard worker and was always willing to help out a neighbour or friend with projects and whatever was needed.
Margaret and Frank spent many happy years together and always enjoyed getting together with their many friends for dinners at their home. They enjoyed their dogs and enjoyed spending many hours in their garden.
Frank will be missed by longtime friends Lorna & Clare Kellough, as well as Neil, Tom & Grethe Russell and their families.
Frank is survived by his four sisters, Dona Dorash (Surrey), Sherrie Gimse (Lillooet), Amber Douglas (West Kelowna), Helen “Lally” Douglas (Prince Rupert) and his brother George Douglas and his wife Masumi (Port Edward), as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 17th from 2-6pm at Frank & Margaret’s home in 108 Mile.
