February 28, 1929 - March 10, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear sister and aunt, Eugenia "Gene" Pavlikis who passed away in her sleep on March 10, 2021 at Acropolis Manor.
She was predeceased by her parents Andreas and Amelia Pavlikis, Sisters Messina (James) Batitsas and Amelia (Kiriako) Vamvakas.
Survived by her brother and sister-in- law Nickolas and Eleni Pavlikis, nieces Liz (Howard) Hood, Rania (Jeff) Harney, Angela (Robert) Grodecki, nephew Andrew (Shar) Pavlikis and great nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Prince Rupert, Gene worked for many years at CN as a Telecommunications Manager, retiring at the age of 55. During her life Gene was a longtime parishioner with St. Andrew's Anglican Cathedral Church and an active member of the church choir.
Gene enjoyed Thursday evening choir practices along with her lifetime friends, organist and music teacher, Phyllis Hankinson and Doreen Ridsdale. In her youth Gene enjoyed hunting season along with her brother Nick and good friends Fred Slade and Thomas "Chips" Woods. She was an avid bowler and was actively involved in the lives of her nieces and nephew teaching them the joys of fishing and the outdoors.
A big thank you to all the staff at Acropolis Assisted Living and Acropolis Manor for their support and kindness shown towards Gene in her final years.
A special thank you to her good friend and confidant, Monty De Leo.
Rest in Peace - Auntie Gene
